I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Edge Hill University.

My key research interests are:

  • Understanding how eye movements change as a function of expertise

  • How another person's eye movements can influence observers performance on real-world visual search and problem solving tasks

  • Whether the types of joint attention necessary for learning can successfully occur using artificially represented gaze (gaze replays)

  • Using the 'Flash-Preview Moving Window' paradigm (Castelhano & Henderson, 2007; Litchfield & Donovan, 2016) to reveal experience-related developments in real-world visual search (e.g., scene perception and medical image perception)

  • Establishing why abnormalities such as cancer are still missed in medical image perception (e.g., Donovan & Litchfield, 2013)
